I never considered what makes God Official in my life. But I do know that I can look back and see all the great things that I have been able to accomplish or ordeals I have survived, that I know I could not have done by myself. So maybe because I was "rescued" I officially know God is real. and I am glad he belives in me.

Re: Jesus Statue Hit by Lightening and Burns

I would say that likening the return of Christ based upon that, rather than what He told us to be aware of concerning the dates and times is not biblical.

Re: Sorry IPhone

Its Official....I got the Sprint HTC Evo this morning

Re: Sorry IPhone

you need to be careful about buying the first model of anything....there are always unforeseen glitches....this phone will be no different...wait for the upgrade....you know what you have in the iphone.....sometimes being safe is exactly that being safe

Re: Question of the Day: Can you have Sanctified Sex outside of Marriage?

I did enjoy your lesson on money, it is very true.

Finding stuff that is good is hard these days. I was in a class about Christian Ethics in Minnesota when a monk from another country really did not understand this whole healthcare thing. He came from a country where the healthcare debate means nothing. I have lived without healthcare and sometimes I really think IT IS CHEAPER. I currently am living on just $11.80 an hour. I don't have a lot to spare for charity or giving to my church, but have pleged $3,000 for the year which I know is over 10%. I invite you to my blog which is just one over to the left.

Re: Smacked By God

Similarly, I used to be a fundamentalist but then I read some more and foremd my own kind of spirituality and thank goodness I am where I am at NOW!

Re: Smacked By God

Amen Sol...

Re: Smacked By God

Truly, it is God who makes things grow, and therefore it is God who gets all the glory. If she was my little girl and she could dance like that, I would encourage her, she could be a professional dancer one day and not like the ones in strip clubs but a real dancer or choreographer. Dancing is not just art or a hobby, it's also exercise and expression. Starting off young is when people become professionals, people that start late in the game can only learn so much. I would get her in ballet, jazz dance, hip hop, swing and anything else to encourage her. She obviously loves to dance. Use this as her reinforcement, I just loved to be outside when I was a kid, you could get me to do anything like make A's in school or mow the lawn, just don't keep me inside. She has real raw talent.

Re: How far do we let our kids go?

a difficult one! the kid clearly enjoys it or would not have bothered to learn the whole thing! i don't think there is any point trying to say " you cant dance like that any more" because then she will think she has done something wrong.
banning the videos really is the only option. But she will see it at a friends house or somewhere else.
I dont think she got the interest on her own, but was probably encouraged because she seem to be quite a natural! i think the parents probably see it as innocent fun. she wasnt doing it to attract anyone or shock anyone but as a bit of harmless fun! and to show off probably. kids like that!

Re: How far do we let our kids go?

You have to realize that this is France. Another culture than America (I am guessing that's where you are from)
I was born and raised in France (until the age of 13, now I live in the US) and I am now 19 years old. Those moves are NOTHING compared to what happens at the clubs, or even my senior/ junior prom.

France is a lot more in touch with the sensual side of their body/mind. In fact, in France there is no expression/word for "having sex with" but only "making love" or "sleeping with".

You cannot look at another culture, and ask this question. I am not saying the culture is wrong, just the example isn't the best to chose.

Re: How far do we let our kids go?

Your blog has been recommended to us as a interviewee's favorite blog!

We would like to do an interview with you about your blog for Blog
Interviewer.
